Summer is upon us and we are turning up the heat. Over the last several months, Soroptimist International of Channel Islands has successfully engaged hundreds of members, generating an extraordinary impact on our local community (see the thermometer below!). As you read below, we encourage you to find your place in our diverse array of volunteer opportunities.

Bold and Worthy Bags Update!

Our Bold and Worthy campaign is reaching new heights! With 15 more bags donated from our Delicate Delights event and 5 participants from our James Storehouse event helped (we outfitted these foster kids aging out of the system), we are up to 166 lives impacted this year!

How You Can Help - We Need More Supplies!

We are still collecting items for our Bold and Worthy Bags! Below is a list of needed supplies:

  • Deodorant, Chapstick, Hairbrushes, Hair Ties, Body/Hand Lotion, Nail Clippers, Nail Polish, Shampoo, Conditioner, Shower Gel, Face Mask, Toothpaste, Face Wash, Tooth Brush
  • Spiral Notebook/Journal, Pens, Adult Coloring Books, Markers/Colored Pencils, Embroidery Kits, Candles, Blankets, Travel Mug/Water Flask/Mugs, Cozy Socks, Doodle Diary

Women Build: A Collaboration with Habitat for Humanity


Join SICI and Habitat for Humanity as we work to repair 4 homes in Thousand Oaks. The cost to attend is $90 and includes breakfast, lunch, prizes, and giveaways. All proceeds from the event will help provide safe, decent, and affordable shelter for local individuals and families in need. For more information and to sign up, click below.
